This poem was written by our very own Carmen Johnson and featured in our Fall 2019 Agon Magazine!

I wish I could get a glimpse into your mind

Slice open your head, feed off of your thoughts

Maybe then I’ll see why you are who you are

Your pink matter laid open like a book

In bits and pieces because I couldn’t handle all at once

Just a nibble into your sweet escape

Your third eye

Your paradise

Your dreams

I want to know you

I won’t share your sweetness with anyone else.
